2001 Pontiac Grand Am Re-Paint

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am. This Red sedan came to our shop looking blue. Its Front Bumper Cover had been replaced with an aftermarket unit, most replacement parts come in a strange flat-ish black color and need paint to match the rest of the car! Instead of having a shiny new bumper and leaving the rest of the car in its old faded paint, the owner decided to have us refinish the entire car with our basic Enamel Single Stage paint in the car's original color!

2008 Pontiac Grand Prix Insurance Repair

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix. This car came to our shop with an insurance claim already written up and ready to be repaired. We can work directly with any insurance company, all we need are a couple signatures and a claim number! You can relax knowing that we are handling all of your repairs for you directly with your insurance company. This car was a fairly straight forward repair. Its entire front bumper assembly needed to be replaced. We obtained all of the replacement parts and matched them to the original black color with our factory quality paint!

2000 Pontiac Grand Am Overall Paint Job!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. This car came to Almost Everything looking dazed and confused. Its front half was flat primer-ish looking black while the rear was gloss black. The reason for the color difference is because some body panels were replaced at some point and were never painted! We began the repainting process with all of our basics: a chemical cleaning to remove old road contaminants clinging to the paint, then masking off all of the car's windows lights and trim. This car's owner made a wise decision and chose to seal the car prior to paint with our basic primer-sealer to promote adhesion and longevity of the final finish. The car was now ready for paint. We repainted the exterior with our Enamel paint in its original color!

1967 Pontiac Firebird Re-Repaint

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is the same 1967 Firebird that we featured last week.  This was a peculiar case in which we refinished the car with the vehicles "era correct" paint color, a beautiful black cherry metallic, unfortunately this was not the color that the owner was expecting! At some point in its life this car was refinished using a different paint color, the code for this color was nowhere to be found on the car.  The last thing we want is an unhappy customer with the wrong color car, so we went ahead and painted the car again, this time matching the color as close as possible to the previous color!

1967 Pontiac Firebird Color Restoration!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1967 Pontiac Firebird. This classic muscle car came to Almost-Everything looking pretty beat. There were rust holes in some body panels, old bodywork that was not too interested in looking great anymore and its paint had faded from years of being outside in the sun. We began our restoration by replacing the unusable rear right body panel with a new reproduction panel made specifically for rusted/damaged areas which was provided to us by the car's owner. Once that was completed we began smoothing and "re-skimming" over the old body work so it would not show through the cars new upcoming paint job. Once the specified areas were smooth, we applied a primer sealer and finally repainted the entire exterior of the vehicle with our Urethane + Integrated Clear Coat paint!

Fastest 1957 Pontiac In The World

Happy Labor Day! To celebrate, our good friend, Mark Crutcher, gave us some recent photos of his 1957 Pontiac Chieftain 2-door hardtop. This is the same car featured in High Performance Pontiac. Mark claims it is the fastest 1957 Pontiac in the world with stock suspension designed in 1940 and a genuine Pontiac engine. To back-up the claim, he points to his 1/4 mile times at Speedworld Dragstrip in Whittmann, Arizona: 11.51 seconds at 114.39 mph--about the same as a McLaren F1, Ferrari 458 Italia,  Ford GT, Nissan GT-R, or Porsche 911 Turbo. We won't argue.

Rear whitewalls exchanged for racing slicks
What's IN that thing?!! A 455 cubic inch Pontiac engine, bored to 470.

Thanks, Mark!
