1994 Honda Civic Revamp

This customer came in looking to paint their aftermarket parts that they installed to match their original paint job titled "Frost White".  This customer wanted to paint over the moldings, door handles and mirrors. Choosing to paint said parts the same color as the car was a bold move worth making!

2005 Honda Civic Si Revamp

2005 Honda Civic Si with new Championship White paint job from Almost Everything Auto Body.
A young driver and his parents wanted his first car to be something a little special. So they took a nice Honda Civic Si that was looking a little old and made it look new. The Honda Championship White paint is a nice touch and a tribute to Honda's first Formula 1 victory in 1960.

Doing It Right--High Quality Paint Job

Car getting ready for top quality paint job at Almost Everything Auto Body.
This is what you do if you want a great paint job: you take the car apart so that paint can get into the nooks and crannies and so that paint does NOT get on the chrome, rubber, windows and other trim parts. Then you fix all of the little dings, dents and gouges. The owner of this 2002 Chrysler 300M takes very good care of his car but the years had taken their toll and up close it had chips, scratches and dings. When we finished, it looked like a new car again.

Trim Removal:
Lights, chrome and trim removed in preparation for complete paint job.

Trim Removal:
"Trim Removal" refers to taking off all the parts that are not supposed to have paint on them.

Trim Removal:
Trim can include lights, weatherstrips, windows, door handles, bumpers, etc.

Trim Removal:
If you don't want parts painted together, you disassemble the car prior to paint.

Trim Removal:
Trim removal as shown in this series is optional and at additional cost.

Ding Repairs:

Fixing Scrapes & Gouges:

1995 Honda Accord with Microchecked Paint

Almost Everything Auto Body technician masking a car prior to paint.

This 1995 Honda Accord was still performing well when it came to us in 2019. But the paint looked like hell! The paint had develop a problem called microchecking. Over time microchecking leads to paint failure and rusting. It is characterized by small cracks (or "checks") in the paint. They look like lots of small razor cuts and are usually the result of temperature extremes. So it is common to first see the problem over the car's radiator where the paint experiences the most extremes of heating and cooling. The cracks allow water to get under the paint so metal body parts start rusting.

This post provides a very nice photo progression of the car going through sanding and masking processes in the shop.

1995 Mercedes E320 Respray

Mercedes Benz E320 with new paint from Almost Everything Auto Body.

These 1990s Mercedes Benzes were built like bank vaults. But even a Mercedes will need to be repainted when the original paint gets old enough. In the case of this car, the paint was faded. At some point the trunk had been replaced. And the owner had 2 new tail lights that she purchased and wanted to have us install.
