Almost Everything Shop |
We're proud to have experience in just about everything auto body and we offer options for every price range. One of you put it succinctly, "They do everything from buckets to Bentleys." Our friends and customers mostly bring us cars sold in the millions: Toyotas, Hondas, Fords, Chevys. But you also bring us historic muscle cars, lots of Mercedes Benzes and BMWs, a few Ferraris, Maseratis & Bentleys. You've brought us race cars & horse trailers. Add to that a few boats, experimental aircraft, fleets of trucks and commercial vehicles, prized toys and furniture–the name fits. BUT (
here's the "almost" part) it's got to fit in our paint booth AND if your car just isn't worth fixing, we'll tell you to buy another car, even when that means losing your business.

Master Technician Bob Gibbs |
We've repaired thousands and thousands of cars. We work with metal, plastic, fiberglass and carbon fiber. Our crew has well over 100 years experience in the auto body industry. We work on brand new models and decades old "keepers"–a few expensive show cars and many more modest daily drivers.
Green–Environment Management & Initiatives

Almost Everything Shuttle |
Each year we set a goal to improve the environment. Our first year we converted to ultra-efficient lighting. The next year we installed a state-of-the-art paint booth & filter system to keep 99.5+ percent of pollutants out of the atmosphere. Then we switched to ultra-low VOC and "waterborne" paints to dramatically reduce smog-causing chemicals. We were first in Northern California to switch from sprayed to rolled-on primer–we dramatically reduced waste & health hazards while improving cost & quality! Next our landscaping became drought tolerant. PG&E named Almost Everything a “Community Hero” for voluntarily allowing our A/C to be remotely controlled–even turned-off. PG&E says we helped "ensure the grid's reliability for communities across California. . . less electricity is generated from fossil fuel plants during peak times, fewer greenhouse gases are produced. This means cleaner air for everyone." The program saved enough energy to power 84,000 homes! Efficiency translates into reduced costs–if it is both cheaper and better for our kids, what's not to love?
History
|
Founder Frank Barnard |
Almost Everything has its roots in 1966–our then 2 year-old founder, Frank Barnard, identified every passing Ford Mustang. That passion for cars is what makes Almost Everything special. Every employee has an innate love of cars. Our funny name, “Almost Everything,” started as a bit of a joke between friends who in 1989 founded Æne Magazine to publish Almost Everything. . . and Nothing Else! Decades later, the friendship & motto endure.
Frank's first love was a 1964 Ford Mustang This one belongs to a customer. We were lucky to get to paint it.
