Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS. This Classic came to our shop as a purple / pinkish lump of 'Merican Muscle. Not wanting to repaint his fire breathing IROC bred race car in the terrible color again, the cars owner decided to change the color to a much more menacing tone. After some light body work and lots of heavy sanding, we applied a primer sealer, and finally sprayed the Camaro in its new Gloss Black paint with our Urethane Single Stage paint; The perfect option for an outstanding finish and warranty, meanwhile keeping costs low and not breaking the bank!
Astonishingly, everyone survived with only minor injuries.
The accident took hours to clear and caused major traffic delays in the city of Ajman, United Arab Emirates. Police accuse the driver of excessive speed and reckless driving. First responders assumed the Ferrari passengers would have to be dead. Not only were they alive but not too seriously injured. It helped that the driver, a man in his 20's, had been able to slow before hitting the bus by plowing into 4 or 5 other cars (accounts vary.) Both Ferrari occupants went to the hospital and are expected to make full recoveries.
Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 1989 Pontiac Firebird. This old muscular car came to our shop looking pretty weak, its paint had failed years ago, and had been sanded down recently by its owners in preperation for its new paint job. Once the Pontiac was dropped off at our shop we began our basic prep, we scuffed the car, masked off all of the windows, lights, trim, then applied the optional "Primer Sealer". Once that was complete, we repainted the entire exterior of the car, as well as two door jambs with the car's original color in our premium "Single Stage Urethane" paint!
