Mazda 3 Bumper Repair

Mazda 3 with crushed bumper & 3-stage Soul Red paint before repairs at Almost Everything Auto Body.
Mazda 3 bumper was crushed in a parking lot incident. We replace the bumper and a broken reflector. This Mazda has a premium, 3-stage paint that is hard to match. Even in the "before" photos you can see that the original bumper color does not exactly match the rest of the car. In these situations we recommend blending (or fading) paint onto the adjacent panels to better hide this color mis-match. Or, as this customer chose, you can keep cost lower if you are able to tolerate a slight color difference.

Note original slight color mis-match on rear bumper cover at the time the customer dropped off the vehicle. Bumpers can often be a slightly different color than the rest of the car due to differences in plastic vs. metal parts. This difference is even greater on 3-stage (also called "tri-stage" or "candy") paints.

2012 Honda Civic Collision Repair

2013 Honda Civic with auto body damage before repairs at Almost Everything Auto Body.

We replaced the fender and mirror and fixed the dent on the door. We often explain to customers what the difference is if we repair vs. replace a part. In this case, the customer was paying for repairs themselves. Replacing the fender resulted in a better quality repair and also cost less than trying to repair it. On the other hand, it was far less expensive to repair the door than to replace it. Feel free to ask us why you should choose one option over the other. We always provide honest recommendations from both a quality and cost perspective. If an option is both better quality and less expensive, that is the option we will always recommend.
