Tesla Model S Crash

Almost Everything's Wreck of the Day is a 2013 Tesla Model S--the first one we know of to wreck. Almost Everything is located about 5 miles from the Tesla factory so we are fortunate to have Tesla employees as customers and to see Teslas every day.

This was a serious crash but the driver was uninjured.  In addition to being blindingly fast, handling better than virtually anything on the road and getting the best fuel efficiency, the National Highway Safety Administration says the Model S is the safest car ever tested. We want one.

Thanks to our buddies at WreckedExotics.com for sending us more photos to cry over.

1999 Mercury Villager Re-Painted!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1999 Mercury Villager Minivan. This people mover came to our shop as many late 1990's vehicles do, its paint was peeling, faded and quite ugly. We started by first removing the peeling or "delaminating" paint, smoothing all of the old jagged edges of paint down to an even, paintable surface. Next up was primer-sealer; we applied a coat before paint to ensure proper adhesion. Finally its beautiful, original color was painted on with our Enamel paint, losing the "2 tone" color scheme for a more modern look!

2001 Chrysler Pt Cruiser Paint Job!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 2001 Chrysler Pt Cruiser.  This car has some history with its owners, it was the first "Pt" in the Fremont area! The cars owners have a deep attatchment to this car and did not want to have their "baby" driving around with peeling paint any longer! The paint material that was chosen for this "mopar" was our "Base Coat / Clear Coat" 2 stage paint, and to finish off the look the owners decided to have us "Wetsand and Polish" the car.  The polishing process is a very intricate, time consuming job, our detailer spent many hours smoothing this paint to an extremely glossy glass like finish! This Chrysler will look great for years to come!

1990 Acura Integra Bumper Repair + Full Paint Job!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1990 Acura Integra. This Import came to our shop for two different reasons, the "Body Kit" had recently been cracked due to an accident, and the rest of the car was most definitely in need of a new paint job. We began with repairing the damaged areas on the bumper cover, removing the cover, fixing the cracks, then reinstalling it. When all of the bodywork was complete we started "prepping" the rest of the car's body for paint. Since all of the bodywork that the cars owner wanted fixed was already completed before coming to our shop (excluding the bumper) we simply scuffed the car with an abrasive hand pad, then masked off all of the windows, lights, and trim. Once masking was complete we rolled it into our booth where the car was painted with the deepest darkest black enamel paint that we have in ouir color book!

Lamborghini hits 250 MPH. . . then Bursts Into Flames (of course)

Almost Everything's Wreck of the Day is yet another Lamborghini. If you know us at all, you know we can't pass up an exotic supercar flambé-ing itself. This time there's a somewhat reasonable excuse. This particular Lamborghini, called the "LP570-4 Underground Racing R2/Altechno," has 2005 HP and set an all time speed record at the Moscow Unlimited 500+ drag races. It is traveling 402 kph (250 mph) at the finish line. . . then it blows up. Great video.

2002 Honda Accord Repaint!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 2002 Honda Accord Sedan. This daily driver was in need of some serious love when it drove into our parking lot. Its original factory paint had failed a while back, fading, peeling and eventually turning into the white powder that you can see barely clinging to its body panels. The owner plans on buying a new vehicle within the next couple years and didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on a factory-type paint job. With this in mind she chose to have us refinish her car with a basic "Single Stage" paint in the original Honda color. Even a simple paint job, such as the one seen on this Accord, can make many old vehicles look great again!

Toyota Camry's Look Great Without Peeling Paint!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1993 Toyota Camry. Imports such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, etc. from this era almost always have the same problem as this Camry. Over the years the sun will degrade the car's paint, causing it to fade, chip easily, crack, and most commonly peel! Once paint starts to peel or "delaminate" nothing can be done to repair that existing paint. Which means that it's time for a new paint job. Most people do not want to spend $5000.00+ on paint. Luckily we have options ranging from very affordable basic paint, all the way up to factory type paint!  This Camry was a budget-wise paint job. We performed all of the basic neccesary prep and also lots of sanding to remove all of the peeling clear coat. Next up was a primer-sealer to give the new paint something to "bite" onto. And finally it was ready to be refinished. We repainted this Camry with our Enamel paint in its original color!
