Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 1998 Ford Windstar, this minivan came to our shop as a mismatched, partially prepped mess! We began the paint process with our basic prep, cleaning the exterior surfaces with a chemical to remove all grease, wax, tar, etc. then scuffing the cleaned surface with an abrasive hand pad. Next up was masking, we cover all lights and trim to protect them from overspray, and then one last chermical wipe down. We painted the Ford with our Enamel + UV protectant paint for a great looking finish that did not break the bank!
Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager. This Van came to Almost Everything with its original paint in rough shape. Over the years the sun and elements beat up the finish causing it to look dull and faded. In addition to the dull paint, its clear coat had failed. Most of it was peeling off in sheets! We removed all of the peeling, faded paint (without removing the peeling stuff a shiny new paint job would never last!) Once the surfaces were nice and smooth we sealed the van with a primer sealer, and re-painted the exterior with our Enamel + UV protectant paint in its original color!
Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 2006 Dodge Caravan. This minivan was used as a taxi for awhile but the owner decided to use as a regular car again. As you can imagine, driving a taxi-colored van that is actually not a taxi may send the wrong impression to pedestrians in need of a taxi. So the owner had us repaint his van with its original color in our Enamel + UV protectant paint!
Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 2004 Toyota Sienna. This minivan was the unfortunate victim of an angry fence, its front passenger door, bumper cover and fender were replaced prior to coming to our shop. With multiple mismatched panels and approximately a trillion scratches all over, we recommended to paint the overall exterior of the van. We began by removing all of the light chips and scratches, sanding them down smooth, next we sealed the van with a primer sealer. The van was now ready for its new coat of Enamel paint, which was applied in its original color; Phantom Grey Metallic!
Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 1993 Mercury Villager. This peeling crusty minivan started the process at our shop with some serious sanding work, we removed all of the old failing red paint, smoothing all of the old jagged edges down to a even paintable level. Once the surface was even and smooth we masked off all of the unpainted areas such as; windows, lights, lower silver trim, etc. The van was now ready for its coat of primer sealer, and new paint! We refinished the red parts of the van with our Urethane Single Stage paint in its original color!
Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 2001 Honda Odyssey. This family mover came to Almost-Everything just in time. Its paint had recently started to peel or "delaminate" as we call it. This is a very common problem on Hondas, usually it begins on the roof, hood, and trunk then spreads onto the surrounding panels, luckily this owner caught it in the beginning stages! We sanded down all of the problematic areas to a smooth surface then applied a primer to seal the freshly abraded surface also providing a great "Clean Slate" for the new paint to stick onto. The owners of this van are keeping it for many years to come, with this in mind they decided to have us paint their Odyssey with our Base Coat / Clear Coat paint, which carries a five year warranty! To top off the van's new look we also restored the yellowed, foggy headlamps back to crystal clear!
Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 1995 Dodge Caravan. This work van came to Almost Everything with its original paint in shambles. A good majority of it had been sanded off in preparation for new paint. Unfortunately the surface would not have looked too smooth if we had simply painted over the existing surface repairs. We corrected this by sanding all of the surfaces clean and smooth. Once that had been completed we masked off all windows, lights and trim, and finally refinished the van with our Enamel paint in the van's original color!
