In this case we worked with GEICO. We replaced the hood, headlights, bumper, airbag sensors, radiator support, A/C condenser, and fender. We refinished the damaged areas with factory matched paint.
Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 1996 Toyota Avalon. This was a case where the shop advised the customer that it was probably more economical to buy another used car than to repair this one. But many people think this version of the Avalon is nicer that similar Lexuses and the engine has a well deserved reputation for durability. So the customer decided to repair his car instead of taking chances with a used car of unknown reliability and less luxury.
We replaced the hood, bumper, grill, radiator support, lights, hood latch, A/C condenser and radiator and repainted the front end with factory paint.
Something flew up and hit the hood of this Jetta causing a big dent. Fortunately, it bounced over the windshield and didn't cause more damage. We pulled out the dent and painted the hood with original factory paint.
This is the type thing that can ruin your day. Thankfully no one was injured. Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid. A mounting bracket for the hood broke and the hood few open and collapsed on the windshield. We replaced the hood, the mounting bracket, hood latch and hinges. We also repainted some scrapes on the fenders.
