Car of the Day - 1991 GMC Sierra Pick-up with Spray on Bed Liner

Today's Car of the Day is a 1991 GMC Sierra truck that was previously painted by Almost Everything Autobody. This customer came back to have Almost Everything Autobody spray on a bed liner. Almost Everything-fremont prepped the truck bed with a value prep package that includes sanding chips and scratches and apply a coat of primer-sealer. Almost Everything Autobody masked areas not to be sprayed and did the spray on bed liner.

Strange Vehicles - Russian Ekranopan

Okay, so this isn't a car at all but very cool none-the-less.

Part airplane, part ship, part hovercraft. These things were/are able to go very fast, very low to the surface and because of a boundary layer effect (kind of an air cushion provided at the surface of the water) they can fly with smaller wings and/or less power (less energy required) than a normal plane. Pretty cool stuff.

2005 Toyota Camry with Insurance Claim Work

Today's Car of the Day is a 2005 Toyota Camry that came in as an Insurance Claim. The Insurance company (AAA) wanted Almost Everything Autobody to replace the rear bumper cover with a new part. Almost Everything found hidden damage to the bumper absorber and the insurance company paid for the additional damages. New bumper clips were also used and Almost Everything added flex additive to make sure the paint adhered to plastic. We painted the rear bumper cover off the car for better paint coverage and used the best quality paint to match the existing color and factory finish.

Car of the Day - 1974 Ford Maverick Restoration

Ol' Buzzard after Restoration at Almost Everything Autobody
This 1974 Ford Maverick came to us in need of a restoration. The owner of the car, Don Schennek, has a heck on an engine and transmission in this car. Check under the hood at any number of local car shows to see it. But the outside of the car. . . well, let's be blunt, it was a bit chewed-up, rusty. . . ugly. Don had Almost Everything Autobody repair dents on the doors, quarter panels, roof, trunk and fenders. We also welded shut 42 holes around the car where old mouldings used to mount. Almost Everything Autobody repaired fiberglass cracks on the new "Grabber" hood. We treated the rust on the right and left quarter panels by welding in new metal and in some areas, rebuilt panels in fiberglass. Don changed the color from a dull orange to white. Don's "Ol' Buzzard" is a regular at Northern California auto shows and after his restoration, he received an invite to participate in the prestigious Classic & Custom Car Show in San Jose's McEnery Convention Center. Thanks for letting us work on this great car Don.

For those interested, you can see Don Schennek's car at:

Car of the Day - 1991 Chevrolet S10 Pick-up truck with 2-tone paint job

Today's car of the day is a 1991 Chevrolet pick-up truck that came in for a 2-tone paint service with single stage paint. Almost Everything Autobody sanded and painted the entire truck with the original colors used by the manufacturer. Almost Everything Autobody painted the entire truck the red color first and allowed for the paint to cure for 3 weeks before painting the white parts. Single stage paint services require a wait of several weeks for paint to cure before sanding the surface and masking (covering) the areas not to be painted. This process can save hundreds of dollars and the results are well worth it. This process can also be done all at the same time if a 2-stage paint service is done instead of single stage, but will cost a little more.

2001 Mercedes Benz S430 with Cloudy Yellow Headlights

Yellow, Hazy Headlight before Restoration at Almost Everything Autobody
Today's customer had a gorgeous Mercedes Benz S430 in great condition except for the headlights which were pitted, yellow and hazy. The customer hated the way they looked and how performance at night was diminished. So he brought his car to Almost Everything Autobody specifically for headlight restoration. He had been quoted $100-$250 for this work at other shops and thousands of dollars for headlight replacement.
The same Headlight after Restoration at Almost Everything Autobody
Almost Everything's price was dramatically lower for the same work. And we completed it the same afternoon. When Almost Everything Autobody restores a headlamp we actually resurface the lens using special pneumatic micro polishing machines, very fine abrasives, the highest quality polishes and a bit of artistry. That's why our results look so much better. And because we do so many, our cost is significantly less than everyone else.

Car of the Day - 2009 Mazda 5 with Collision Damage & Free Rental Car

Today's car was backed into by a U-Haul truck. It put a huge dent in the driver's door and caused the door to be mis-aligned so that it would not close properly. The U-Haul driver did the right thing and notified the owners of the vehicle about the damage and offered to pay for the repairs. The owners of the vehicle got several quotes and decided to bring their car to Almost Everything for several reasons including the lowest price as a reward to the U-Haul driver for his honesty:
  • Best Warranty
    • Lifetime warranty on paint
    • Honored at approx. 500 Almost Everythings across USA, Canada & Mexico
  • Fast Service--the job was completed in just a few days
  • Lowest Price
Almost Everything replaced the door panel with a new one from Mazda, repaired the door frame to correct the alignment problem, removed all of the trim, lights & mouldings around the area to be repainted to achieve the best paint job, matched the factory paint. We also provided a 5 day free rental car allowance. The customer was able to get their rental car from our shop and drop the rental car back at Almost Everything when we completed work on their car. The owner said "You did a wonderful job." Thank you!
