Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 2002 Acura TL Type S. This mid sized luxury sedan came to our shop looking terrible! It had loads of unpainted primer (unfinished 3rd party body work), its original paint had been scuffed and sanded down, and for some strange reason the car's emblems were all out of place and mis-aligned! We began our paint process with our "Basics"; Cleaning the surfaces to rid them of stuck-on contaminants, Scuffing the existing paint/body repairs, and Masking all of the windows, lights and trim. Next up we applied a primer sealer, which is a thin coat of material that paint can "bite" onto. Lastly we repainted the entire exterior of this TL with our Enamel paint, using the Factory Honda "Color Code" to get as close to the original color as possible, and reinstalled the emblems in the correct position!
