Summer in San Francisco

Okay, so we can only live & breath cars for 23.75 hours per day. Every once in awhile we notice that we live in a pretty amazing place. Thanks to our friend BK Mair for some very cool photographs of sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge and from a very nice spot on Russian Hill overlooking San Francisco Bay.

1996 BMW 325i Re-Paint!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1996 BMW 325i.  This "E36" was suffering from visciously unsightliness. The previous owner decided to trash the body, selling it with dents, dings, and ugly paint. Unfortunately this forced "patina" is becoming more and more popular, and is not an acceptable alternative to real automotive paint in terms of Protection, Looks, Resale Value, etc. the list goes on.  We started transforming the looks of this BMW by first removing the peeling paint beneath the spray paint, along with all of the chips and scratches.  Next we sealed the car with a light coat of primer sealer, and finally painted the car using our basic Single Stage Enamel paint in BMW's "Alpine White"!

1992 240SX Paint Job!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1992 Nissan 240SX Coupe. This sporty import came to our shop as most 240's do, faded, and mismatched with parts from donor 240's that met their early demise. We began the color restoration on this car by first sanding down all of the peeling, faded paint, while also paying special attention to the chips and scratches inflicted by unforgiving roads. Once we finished that step we moved on to mask the car, then sealing the freshly sanded surfaces with a light coat of primer-sealer to assist the new paint's adhesion. Finally the 240 was ready for its new coat of paint. The car came in a rich gloss black when it was brand new. We used the color code to mix and repaint the car in its factory color!
