Jaguar F-Type In Cinders

This makes it official. The new Jaguar F-Type is a true exotic. Almost Everything's Wreck of the Day is the barely introduced Jaguar F-Type that has already spontaneously combusted, just like the best from Lamborghini and Ferrari.

Jaguar was kind enough to let the Almost Everything team drive a few F-Types on the runway at Alameda Naval Air Station a few weeks ago. The 'F' in F-Type stands for Fast and Furious. We like!

However these are NOT the photos from Joel's test drive--only the tires were smoldering when he got out. Instead, these come from Belgium via our good friends at WreckedExotics.com. The driver escaped unharmed and reported that the car simply caught fire on an off ramp. F may also stand for Flamable.

Another Ho-Hum Day in Pebble Beach, California

We like to putter around Carmel and Pebble Beach, California (pun intended) in August every year. It is when and where the world's richest car fanatics congregate for the annual Pebble Beach Concours d' Elegance. Decades ago it was a one day event. Now it's a week that encompasses the Monterey Historic Races, auto auctions, Concorso Italiano, and auto manufacturers showing off their best stuff. Our favorite part is trolling the streets and parking lots around the event. . .

Of course, this year we spent the weekend painting the outside of the Almost Everything building instead of participating in automotive nirvana. Thank goodness for our great friends at ExoticSpotter across the Bay who agregate photos of stuff like this.

5.0 "Notchback" Mustang Factory Color Repaint!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1992 Ford Mustang LX. This muscle car came to our shop looking like almost every other 5.0 in existance, flat black, chipped and scratched and in need of some love. We provided just that, beginning with some light sanding to remove all of the minor chips and scratches. Once we completed that step we applied a primer sealer so the new paint would have a surface to bite onto. Now the Mustang was ready for its new paint. We refinished the entire exterior with our basic "Enamel" paint material in the cars original color!
