1930s BUGATTI ROYALE. . . TRAIN

Bugatti's production of the largest, most luxurious cars in the world ended in 1933 as a commercial disaster in the Great Depression. Of six Type 41 "Royales" completed only 3 sold. With 23 huge engines remaining Bugatti decided to build a high speed train. The Bugatti Autorail set a world speed record of 122 mph (196 kph.) French National Railway ordered 79 Autorails with 2 to 4 engines each and they remained in regular use for over 20 years.

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Stolen & Crashed

Wrecked Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport
How is it that a vehicle who's production can be counted on fingers and toes seems to appear in crash photos just about every month? We at Almost Everything Autobody think that the same cars must be quickly repaired and crashed again to maintain this kind of frequency. Thankfully owners capable of plunking down 2 million dollars or so for one of these Earth-bound missiles are usually well insured.

This particular Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, according to our buddies at WreckedExotics.com, was stolen in Switzerland along with a Ferrari 599 and a BMW 750iL. They crossed into Germany where they were chased by police and ultimately caught but not until after the Bugatti was crashed into a barrier.

Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid the Star of Geneva Auto Show

From Edmunds.com (our favorite site for real world auto pricing), here's the scope on the awesome Porsche 918 Hybrid! Edmunds says it upstaged Lamborghini, Bugatti and Bentley at the premier automotive show in the world. And it may possibly be the fastest production car around Germany's famed racetrack, the Nürburgring—assuming it gets produced. We hope so.

Bugatti Veyron Crashes

So what's the big deal you may ask. The car's kind of ugly even. Well, watch this. . .

And believe it or not. . . it's actually a Volkswagen when you get down to it.
