Almost Everything'sCar of the Day is a 1997 Toyota Celica. This rare convertible Toyota came to our shop looking pretty beat. It had been semi-prepped by its owner before we began our work and since all of the cars bodywork had been done by its owner, we were to simply prep the car with "the basics" and paint the entire exterior. Every one of our paint jobs includes "The Basics"; a chemical cleaning to remove stubborn contaminants, a light "scuff" with an abrasive hand pad, masking all trim, lights, windows, etc. to reduce overspray, and a final "bake" to cure the paint. On this particular Toyota the owner decided to go with a little more aggressive color scheme than its original green--a dark charcoal grey metallic in our Enamel + UV protectant paint!
