Almost-Everything's crew, as you can imagine, are a bunch of gear heads and are heavily into the local "Automotive Scene". "The Fast and the Furious" star Paul Walker and his freind Roger Roda's recent passing caused a giant shockwave through the car community, as they were a giant inspiration to many automotive enthusiasts. Recently plenty of meets and gatherings have been held in the local area, the largest being held at Fremont's Pacific Commons with easily over 1000 cars in attendance, all there to have a moment of silence for our "10-second-car-owing" childhood movie hero. Not all, but many of the cars pictured below were either painted by our shop, or have had work done by us. All photo credit belongs to Lower Standard's Ceasar Villasenor.

Video of 3 Lamborghinis on Fire!
We approach this with some guilty glee. You know we love reporting burning super cars. Today's Wreck of the Day is a trifecta. A group of 5 Lamborghinis were travelling in convoy from the city-state of Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The middle car lost traction and crashed into the center divide. The car behind it (not sure if it was the ugly BMW or one of the other Lamborghinis) crashed into an additional 2 cars then a bus hit the lot of them. Somehow 3 of the Lamborghinis, an Aventador and 2 Gallardos, ended-up on top of each other. Being Lamborghinis, they, of course, burst into flames. And there's video! Director Norazam of the local fire and rescue reported that drivers & passengers escaped without injury.

1985 Toyota Pickup Paintjob!
Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1985 Toyota Pickup. This work horse came to our shop semi-repaired, unpainted and crusty looking. We began the restoration of this Toyota's looks by cleaning and scuffing the body panels to prepare them for the new coat of primer sealer that we applied soon after the prep was finished. Once the primer-sealer was applied, the truck was ready for its new coat of "Enamel + UV Protectant" Paint which we applied in the truck's original color!
