Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a fun restoration project for us, especially because the Datsun 510 BRE replica was prepared by Larry Oka for a local car buff.
Larry Oka is a local legend. He runs a racing school at Sears Point and says he was involved in racing the BRE Datsuns in the original Trans Am series. Brock Racing Enterprises (BRE) campaigned these little monsters to the 1971 and 1972 SCCA Trans Am championships. Our version mimics the #68 car.

The owner of this car allowed us to show it at a show this year and let us drive it to and from the event. It was a hoot. The car is very quick, the engine is roarty and the handling razor sharp.
