Old Bumper Stickers, Stripes & Graphics
If you've got old bumper stickers, stripes or decals on your vehicle we will recommend removing them prior to painting.
It is typically less expensive and better looking to replace these type items than to try to save them.
If you do want us to try to save decals and graphics, we will charge extra for time and materials to mask them but we cannot guarantee that they will look good after the paint process. Old vinyl and decals are often decaying and dusty. We caution that printing and material layers on the surface of decals can often peel when masking tape is removed. Masking tape also may not stick well to old surfaces resulting in lifting of the tape and significant overspray.
Removing vinyl and graphics cleanly takes time and materials. It is important to completely remove all adhesives from the surfaces to be painted. If the decal is removed but adhesive remains it will cause the new paint to look lumpy and to peel. It is also important not to use any kind of sharp object that could scrapes the surface when removing decals.
Almost Everything has special tools and machines to remove decals, vinyl and adhesives.
