1994 Ford Mustang Color Change

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1994 Ford Mustang. This car came to our shop in typical 5.0 fashion: Flat-Blackish primer. Not wanting to drive around like the other 99.95% of flat black early 90's mustangs in the Bay Area, this Ford's owner decided on a color that is very unique for this body style of Mustang. He decided to have us paint the car using our Enamel Single Stage paint, in Ford's "Reef Blue" color!

96 Terminator Re-Painted

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1996 Ford Mustang Cobra...of sorts...this has a motor and driveline transplant from the legendary 2003-2004 Cobra. 6 speed Swap, ported Eaton Supercharger, and a whole ton of other goodies made their way on to this lucky 96' including the paint color which is called "Dark Shadow Grey" which was only offered on the newer "Terminator" (03-04) Cobras.  The previous paint job was done by another shop in a less than desireable manner, lots of areas were not sanded prior to painting and now they were peeling and chipping very easily.  This Cobra was repainted using one of our premium Base Coat / Clear Coat paints in the same "Dark Shadow Grey" color!

1966 Mustang Employee Project!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe named "Betsy." This old Mustang belongs to one of our employees. He and his dad got this car in extremely rough condition in 2002. After getting the chassis and powertrain in order the car sat from 2004 until 2013, gathering dirt, dust, spiders and plenty of surface rust. Believe it or not, the car has only been fully painted one other time in its life, which was when it was assembled in Milpitas, CA in 1965. The previous owner wanted to have the car painted orange. Luckily (for the people who frown upon bright "Chevy orange" colored Mustangs) he ran out of money while the car was still in primer. That was in 1978. Our team member stripped off all of the old primer and the surface rust captured beneath it and repaired the two front fenders which were handcrafted...er...mangled, by the previous owner with a big hammer. Our painter applied the purest black that we had in our color swatch book. Our team member chose to have his Mustang painted with our basic "Single Stage" paint to showcase how even a simple paint job can completely transform the looks of an old car that needs some love. *Don't mind the misaligned front bumper cover, our employee knows it is not mounted properly yet. He does not care at the moment as the car is still "under construction" and probably will remain that way until approximately mid to late August of the year 2035*

1996 Ford Mustang Convertible Color Change!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1996 Ford Mustang Convertible.  This pony came to our shop white, partially prepped, and overall just tired looking.  The owner decided white wasnt his color anymore and decided to paint the exterior jet black! We completed all of the basic prep work, first cleaning the car to remove oils, road tar, bugs, etc. Once everything was clean we scuffed what was left of the old paint with an abrasive pad to promote adhesion of the new paint, and masked off all of the unpainted things such as lights and trim.  We refinished this Ford with our basic Enamel paint, which goes to show how even a basic paint material can make an old car look great (and 100x more menacing in the case of this Mustang)!

Ford Mustang GT Repaint + Matte Black Accents!

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 2004 Ford Mustang GT. This mellow-colored mustang came to our shop needing some serious help in the looks department.  The original paint had faded to a dull, lifeless orange over the years as well as the headlights and other trim pieces.  We refinished this pony with our Base Coat + Clear Coat paint for an exceptionally glossy finish that will last for years to come! Since orange is such a bright color, and there is such thing as "Too Much Orange" the owner wanted to add an old-school muscle car inspired "Break" in colors, he asked us to repaint the hood scoop and spoiler flat black like the original Mach 1 Mustangs had!
