Delaminating (Peeling) Paint on Honda Accord

Accord suffering from delaminating clear coat.

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 2002 Honda Accord Coupe with delaminating (or peeling) paint. The delamination is caused by years of radiation damage from the sun. We sanded off the delaminating paint, put on a new coat of primer-sealer then repainted the whole car.

Screaming Yellow Buzz Bomb

The Screaming Yellow Buzz Bomb Honda Civic Hatchback at Almost Everything Auto Body

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 1997 Honda Civic Hatchback. It began life as respectable silver commuter. It's leaving Almost Everything Auto Body as a cruise missile on afterburners. The customer supplied his own body modifications. We supplied the paint.

Hood Blew Open on Ford Escape

Hood flew open on 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid prior.

This is the type thing that can ruin your day. Thankfully no one was injured. Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid. A mounting bracket for the hood broke and the hood few open and collapsed on the windshield. We replaced the hood, the mounting bracket, hood latch and hinges. We also repainted some scrapes on the fenders.

Happy Ending for Wrecked, Plasti Dipped Mazda 3

Mazda 3 with peeling Plasti Dip before repainting at Almost Everything Auto Body

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a wrecked, "Plasti Dipped" 2010 Mazda 3. Someone installed a bumper, fender and a junk yard door then sprayed the car with Plasti Dip (a rubber coating made to insulate hand tools.) "Plasti Dipping" is a recent trend. It costs about the same as our least expensive paint job and you get an interesting, soft rubber surface. Almost Everything does not offer Plasti Dip (that's the "almost" part) because on cars it quickly fades and peels and removing it is a chore. See http://www.plastidip.com/blog/2012/08/plasti-dips-removal-tips/.

When this poor car came to us it was fading, peeling and multi-colored. We told the customer if they could get the Plasti Dip off, we'd paint it.

The customers did their best to remove the peeling Plasti Dip before dropping off the car. If any Plasti Dip remains, it will cause the new paint to peel. So we do not provide warranties on cars that have been "Plasti Dipped."

Honda CR-V Collision Repair

Dented quarter panel and bumper on Honda CR-V at Almost Everything Auto Body

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 2001 Honda CR-V compact SUV. The vehicle was rear-ended and needed a new bumper, a light and dent repairs on the quarter panel. When we took the bumper off, we found more dents and broken parts, see the photos below. We went back to the insurance company and filed a "claim supplement" to ensure all of the damage was repaired and paid for by the insurance company.
