Almost Everything Autobody Recognized by PG&E for Energy Efficiency

Pacific Gas & Electric Company Energy Solutions Engineer Eric Noller says, "you (Almost Everything Autobody) have recently done a thorough lighting retrofit of both the shop and office areas. The new T5 lighting is an excellent choice and is one of the most efficient commercially available options on the market. The new fixtures also provide great light quality for the work you are doing."

"Other than lighting, the primary source of energy consumption is the painting equipment. This is specialized equipment that should not be modified due to the need to maintain quality and production, as well as for safety purposes." Eric concludes, "Overall, you are doing a good job in staying energy efficient. . . There are no major recommendations to be made at this time." Thanks Eric. We appreciate the time you spent reviewing our operations and for re-affirming our green credentials.

Last year Almost Everything Autobody was named a PG&E Community Hero for participation in the SmartAC energy conservation program. We work to continually improve processes and reduce our impact on the environment. In 2007 we converted to ultra-efficient lighting. In 2008 we installed super-efficient filtering to keep 99.5+ percent of paint pollutants from escaping into the atmosphere. In 2009 Almost Everything Autobody introduced ultra-low VOC and "waterborne" paints to virtually eliminate smog-causing pollutants. In 2010 we converted our primer processes from sprayed to rolled-on. This process change dramatically reduced health hazards to employees and waste streams. In 2011 we converted our landscaping to drought tolerant plants to eliminate the need for watering.

The way we see it, efficiency translates into reduced costs--if it is both cheaper and better for our kids, what's not to love?

It was a hard-fought battle against 16 veteran drivers. Cody quickly established a 2 second lead but fell back in the pack after 2 restarts. With 10 laps to go Thompson retook first and stayed there through the checker flag. According to CTR (Cody Thompson Racing) spokesperson Anh, Cody "drove the wheels off the car to victory."
