Aston Martin Rapide Totaled

It never takes too long for someone to destroy cars like this. The Aston Martin Rapide is one of the fastest and arguably the most beautiful 4-door sedan on the road today. Apparently the traction control really does work--and the button to disable it is one to avoid. Thanks to our buddies at WreckedExotics.com for this nugget.

Here's some pictures Almost Everything Autobody took of a Rapide when we were at Laguna Seca for the American LeMans Race:

2001 CHEVROLET SILVERADO

Almost Everything's Car of the Day is a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. It is a work truck had been in some kind of accident and the owner replaced the bed with one from a junkyard. The salvaged bed was the wrong color and appeared to have been off a truck that had burned. All of the paint on the front of the bed was scorched off and the metal was rusting. We reconditioned the rust and painted just the bed to match the original white of the cab.

Almost Everything Autobody–Community Hero

October 29, 2011, San Francisco–Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) names Almost Everything Autobody a "Community Hero" for its participation in a groundbreaking energy conservation program. Almost Everything Autobody allows PG&E to remotely turn off its air conditioning when demand spikes. In its thank you letter, PG&E said that Almost Everything Autobody's participation in the program helped "ensure the grid's reliability for communities across California. . . When less electricity is generated from fossil fuel plants during peak times, fewer greenhouse gases are produced. This means cleaner air for everyone." PG&E reports that the program saved enough energy to power 84,000 homes!

Almost Everything Autobody is proud of our green credentials. In addition to our participation in the PG&E program we work to continually improve our processes and reduce our impact on the environment:

  • 2008 Converted to low VOC paints to reduce smog causing chemicals
  • 2009 Converted to premium, ultra-low VOC paints to further reduce smog causing chemicals while improving paint performance

2004 Porsche 911 GT3 Wreck

It's hard to tell from this photo but this was a 2004 Porsche 911 GT3. The remains are in Chicago. It looks to us like it flipped and rolled several times. Visit WreckedExotics.com for details and pictures of other very expensive junk.
